On March 20, 2023, Nawazuddin sued Aaliya Siddiqui and her brother Shamasuddin for Rs 100 crore for defamation for cheating. One day later, Nawazuddin Siddiqui wanted a settlement with his wife and delivered Aaliya a draft. Nawazuddin Siddiqui additionally stated in the same interview that Aaliya was married to another. Still, she stated that she was single when they met.
